Mujeres Peligrosas

These movie posters were part of my final project for the Spanish lit. class I took this fall. My original  approach was to re-imagine some of the stories we had read as modern movies; the project turned into feminist recreations of the stories. The first is based off of "Jacob y el otro", a short story written by Juan Carlos Onetti that follows the struggles of an aging professional boxer and his precocious challenger. The second is a a bit of a stretch -  Poe's "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" has been contorted from an absurd murder mystery into an equally absurd dark comedy, thigh highs and orangutan costume included. Thank you Maya and Gracie for letting me dress you up and cover you in ketchup!
